Every year WMRG carry out a public safety survey at the Nimblejack Mine site to ensure all shafts, pits, holes and SSSI sites are secure and safe.
This years survey back in April went well, finding some remedial works that required completing on a few shaft tops, discovered a new shaft that was not on any surveys, and then covered this to make safe, we also updated the old Barmasters map with better GPS coordinates and included what.three.words for each pin location on the new survey for Key Estates.
A new feature we also added this year are stainless steel identifying numbered tabs on each location, in future this will allow us to quickly identify each point when completing surveys.
